Tonight I was watching the BBC World News and saw Obama’s rally in Raleigh, NC.  It was right in front of one of the buildings that I use to work in.  Wow what a flash back.  The suspense of the election is killing me.  I am sure many of you will also be glad when it is over.  But don’t forget to get out there and vote.  Now a few pictures from the pumpkin festival last weekend in Foiano.

I would never have believed that I could live someplace so dramatic. This is how it looked as I walked over to look at the almond tree.  A front was approaching.

I would have never believed that I would get to live in such a beautiful place.  Spring is just starting so it will only get better. 

Richard, who owns our house,  has written to me about all the shades of green.  And he is so right.  But he never mentioned all the shades of blue too.  As I was walking over to look at the almond tree this weather front was coming.

 

I took my pictures and scurried back inside before it passed.

This is our neighbor across the valley.  No we don’t know them.

The front moved over the house but no rain.  Just a lot of clouds and wind.

 

This is a small version of a really bright tree that is blooming now.  I think it is a mimosa.  Branches of it are available as cut flowers.

That is the way spring is looking here in Monte San Savino the week before St Patrick’s Day.
